HR Business Partner

 

Position Overview:

 

Serve as a primary human capital partner for executives, managers, and employees. Specialize in the delivery of a wide range of human resources programs to leverage employee potential and meet productivity and expense goals for the organization. Counsel management and employees on a wide variety of topics including talent acquisition, employee development and engagement, employee relations. Serve as subject matter expert on company HRIS system.


Position & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build engagement, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Consult with management, providing HR guidance for both short and long -term strategic planning.
  • Provide day-to-day performance and talent management guidance and HR policy interpretation to leadership
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and leadership to help identify internal candidates for professional development opportunities, related to promotions, transfers, etc.; assist with the selection of external staff as necessary.
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting and coordinating effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provide problem resolution and counsels employees on performance, policies, and/or workplace concerns
  • Support the execution of Inclusion and Diversity plans.
  • Assist HR leadership team in identifying and rolling out programs related to learning and development.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning strategies
  • Provide guidance to managers on policies, procedures and communications.
  • Partner with Compensation and business leaders during the annual compensation cycle to effectively utilize resources to reward high performing staff.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on company HR applications as it relates to:
    • New system evaluation and implementation
    • Monitoring and communicating system issues and outages
    • Ensuring with other HR members that HR systems are meeting organizational needs
    • Ensure all HR systems are configured properly
    • Understand and develop workflows within HR systems and integration with related departments such as IT
    • Assist with configuration of Open Enrollment, creating new plans

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements & Qualifications:
 

  • 5 - 7 years of HR Business Partner experience; prior responsibilities for or in depth knowledge of HRIS systems preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required; Strong understanding of HR compliance/regulations.
  • Strong well rounded knowledge of various HR specialty areas (compensation, staffing, benefits, etc.)
  • Ability to make sound recommendations and advise managers on a variety of complex employee relations and performance issues
  • Experience with managing HR projects and program roll outs; strong project management skills are required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management and employees
  • Proven skills in coaching, performance management and talent management
  • Ability to lead organizational units through, and be flexible with change.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal directly with client leads to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and a variety of Human Resources Information Systems supporting talent acquisition, master data maintenance, compensation, benefits, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field a plus – but not required; Commitment to continuous HR education and improvement required.
