Maintenance Technician II (Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm)
Description
Essential Functions:
- Performs electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting and refrigeration operations including, but not limited to installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial and industrial equipment.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots basic electrical issues (e.g., lighting, outlets/switches, circuits, etc.)
- Installs and replaces electrical components such as ballasts, light fixtures, switches, receptacles, and breakers.
- Performs minor construction tasks and installation of fixtures, equipment and accessories as needed throughout the facilities
- Diagnoses and repairs a wide range of facility machinery, production equipment, and building systems.
- Conducts routine checks and evaluates necessary maintenance to the facilities.
- Provides recommendations for facilities improvements.
- Conducts routine preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Responds to work requests by performing and completing general facilities repairs in a timely manner.
- Travels to various worksite to perform or respond to request as required.
- Maintains, organizes and tracks inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumable supplies to ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
- Responds to facility emergencies in a timely and a professional manner; notifies management and emergency services as required, and ensures all safety guidelines are followed.
- Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and wearing protective equipment as required.
- Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Commercial facilities maintenance and repairs.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in at least two building maintenance fields required (i.e., electrical, carpentry, plumbing, hvac).
- Working knowledge of building systems, equipment, and operational standards in office, retail, or multi-use commercial facilities, preferred.
Special Requirements/Certification:
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Certification of apprenticeship in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or refrigeration
Pay range $20.34-30.00/hr.
