Electrical Engineering Technician
Description
Essential Functions:
- Assists in the design and fabrication of prototype cables and other electronic components.
- Prepares, conducts, and evaluates R&D testing; documents results and highlights anomalies.
- Collaborates with the engineering team to integrate feedback from customers and tests into product improvements.
- Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and resolves product-related issues for customers.
- Develops and maintains technical documentation, guides, and FAQs for internal and customer support.
- Configures, calibrates, and maintains electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Supports engineers with tasks such as circuit analysis, soldering, and assembly.
- Participates in brainstorming sessions for product improvement and technical reviews.
- Ensures a safe and organized work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and keeping workspaces tidy.
- Stays updated on advancements in electrical engineering, electronics, and relevant industry standards.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field; or minimum (2) years of work experience as an engineer technician in lieu of degree.
- Previous experience as an engineering technician required, preferably with exposure to technical or customer support.
- Previous experience with hands-on design and prototyping electronic components, required.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Experience in R&D testing or product development, preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD tools for electronic design, a plus.
Pay Range: $24.00-$32.00/hr
