Digital Support Specialist Co-Op/Intern (Memphis)
Description
Work Schedule: (hours flexible) - minimum 4 hours a day, 3 days a week
Essential Functions:
- Supports and solves common/known equipment and machine issues with guidance from Digital Support Specialist (DSS).
- Installs and setup new equipment as needed with guidance from DSS.
- Gathers data to help determine equipment and machine issue. Examines issue to find the fundamental problem.
- Under the guidance of DSS, provides support for all equipment and machines.
- Calibrates, cleans, and performs preventive maintenance on digital equipment on assigned equipment or production area.
- Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate source of problems; utilizes precision measuring and testing instruments as needed.
- Rigs and moves production equipment throughout the shop.
- Tickets and records information relevant to equipment repair activities.
- Checks in/out inventory and supplies.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field.
- Minimum one (1) year of electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, or relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to frequently push and/or pull up to forty (40) pounds.
- Ability to frequently lift or carry up to forty (40) pounds.
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
