Construction Laborer II (Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm)
Description
Essential Functions:
- Performs construction tasks including, but not limited to:
- Drywall: Up to level 5 finish.
- Framing: Frames from a set of plans, and identifies quantity take off on a project.
- Flooring: Repairs and handles entire flooring projects, including floor preparation, installation and finish work.
- Doors/Windows: Installs framed doors and windows. Identifies and fixes door/window issues.
- Painting: Paint with attention to detail with little to no rework.
- T-bar: Install T-bar ceilings, and has knowledge of ceiling grid terminology and codes.
- Maintains an organized and stocked tool cart/bag. Requests for and/or replenishes materials and supplies as necessary.
- Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and wears protective equipment as required.
- Tracks assigned construction projects/tasks and ensures completion in a timely manner while adhering to operational standards. Communicates progress to project manager and/or supervisor.
- Proactively performs construction projects/tasks, and identifies efficient methods to complete projects/tasks.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education level.
- Minimum four (4) years of construction or related experience.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- General knowledge of office procedures.
- Demonstrated prioritization and time management skills.
- Demonstrated high standard of quality of work.
- Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and flexibility in work habits.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to operate power tools, handheld tools and machinery.
- Ability to read and understand all operating procedures and applicable technical information.
- Ability to prioritize and organize project tasks and goals effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exhibiting high level of integrity, and trustworthiness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively contributes as a team player.
- Ability to work with various supervisors, managers, and employees to ensure project goals are met.
- Ability to maintain punctual attendance, including the ability to work outside of scheduled work shift when necessary.
Pay Range: $23.14-$27.00/hr
