Events Assistant
Description
Essential Functions:
- Assist Event Planning team in the planning, preparation, and execution of all small- and large-scale Company and special events.
- Assist with all aspects of event planning as assigned by the Event Planning Team.
- Assist with event coordination communication with employees, staff, and vendors according to event details.
- Assists and works closely with event set up teams to ensure accurate event setup as specified in floorplans.
- Provides onsite support to vendors and staff to ensure alignment with event plans and layouts.
- Assist event inquiries, relaying pertinent details to team members as necessary.
- Maintains Company events calendar including audits of meeting/event spaces.
- Performs monthly inventory audits of banquet supplies, linens, and event kits.
- Develops and maintains collaborative and positive relationships with internal departments and cross-functional teams that support and contribute to events.
- Responds timely to guest inquiries and coordinates on-site check-in procedures with Event Planning team.
- Travels and attends on and off-site events.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year of office administration/coordination experience preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of event support experience preferred.
Special Requirements/Certification:
- California Food Handlers Card preferred.
- California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training certificate preferred.
Pay Range: $19.00hr.-24.00/hr.
