Business Systems Product Owner
Description
Essential Functions:
- Defines product vision to cross-functional stakeholders and software development teams to drive value-focused product development that are aligned with business goals.
- Facilitates discovery and planning sessions, user acceptance testing, and product reviews and demos to ensure alignment with product vision and requirements.
- Creates, manages, and prioritizes product backlog to optimize solutions delivery, support release planning, and alignment with business priorities.
- Develops and manages process roadmaps to optimize workflows, visibility, and collaboration.
- Develops and manages comprehensive project plans with release forecasts to guide product delivery.
- Monitors progress of development work against forecasts and regularly updates stakeholders. Adjusts release forecasts to reflect changes in development progress and priorities.
- Evaluates product performance throughout development lifecycle to ensure a successful delivery of final product.
- Manages deployment and post-production support to ensure product reliability and user satisfaction.
- Develops training content and co-facilitates trainings to ensure successful product adoption and optimal use.
- Collects and analyzes application performance and analytic reports to monitor effectiveness and inform development decisions.
- Evaluates existing product processes, team utilization, and operational data to identify opportunities to optimize resources and performance.
- Leads process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, productivity, and business value, including but not limited to large-scale departmental change management efforts.
- Prepares financial investment reports, including return on investment (ROI) and savings on investment (SOI) calculations, and recommends strategies to enhance returns and savings.
- Researches and identifies emerging technologies to maximize business productivity and competitive advantage.
- Participates in regulatory affairs activities as necessary to ensure products meet applicable compliance requirements.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience in business, customer service, finance, dental, technology, healthcare, or leadership role required.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in software project development or equivalent required.
Pay range: $77,000.00 - $103,000.00/yr
