The Role

This role is based out of our newly created and rapidly growing location in Downtown San Francisco. We are in the midst of a rapidly changing jobs economy where the most popular jobs today didn’t exist twenty years back and and perhaps the most popular job twenty years from now does not exist today. Job seeking is hard and time-consuming and many job seekers do not know what jobs they could do. We aspire to solve this problem through technology and Machine learning. You would be a key driver of the vision, roadmap and execution for our next generation jobs search solution.

The Jobs Search team is the core back-end intelligence over which all of Glassdoor’s jobs interfaces are built. This team is responsible for information retrieval, ranking, recommendations and personalization of jobs. This is a high impact, potential and visibility role.

Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand user behavior and challenges through user logs, 1:1 interviews and / or consumer research
  • Create a vision and roadmap for a highly optimized, contextual and personalized ranking and recommendations technology for jobs
  • Manage the full product lifecycle - defining features, writing specifications and measurement metrics. Relentlessly iterate through AB testing
  • Business ownership of your product.You will be responsible for an area that has massive impact on Glassdoor’s revenue. You will define, own and optimize your product’s KPIs

Requirements

  • You are passionate about solving burning user needs through machine learning and technology
  • You are a strategic thinker who can define a long-term strategy in addition to delivering tactical execution
  • You can inspire and influence a diverse group of people to march towards your vision
  • 3+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in a related quantitative and technical product role
  • Analytical horse-power and passion for data-driven decision making
  • Prior experience in Data Science or Machine Learning a huge plus
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering/Sciences or Quantitative programs
