About the Job

Join the Glassdoor Traffic team as a Senior Front-End Engineer. The Traffic team is responsible for increasing our user base with a heavy focus on search ranking and other new user growth initiatives. You will be partnering closely with product, design, and other engineers to build out rich, engaging features that drive new traffic to Glassdoor. The team is part of our larger Product and Consumer Engineering organization.

About You

You have a passion for creating high-quality, fast, accessible user interfaces. You have solid experience building dynamic, responsive web pages using JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5 using libraries such as React and jQuery.  You are constantly learning and keeping up with the latest in client-side technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both Java and Node.js in high-volume, production environments.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years building high-quality, secure presentation layers for high visibility web sites
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery
  • Experience in ReactJS and NodeJS
  • Proficiency building responsive web applications
  • Experience developing server-side MVC applications, ideally Java/Spring based
  • Experience building products for international audiences and Search Engine Optimization best practices and techniques
  • Continual learning of emerging technologies/industry trends
  • Energized and excited by challenging projects that is reflected in a drive to deliver
  • Ability to effectively and confidently communicate (verbally and written) technical issues in a clear, collaborative and open-minded manner with both technical and non-technical peers
