We are looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media to build cutting edge social media marketing programs in the U.S. and other key international markets. This person will be responsible for developing and overseeing the social media strategy for Glassdoor as a strategic brand, reputation and acquisition channel. This experienced leader will evolve our social media program with creative storytelling on existing, new and emerging platforms. The successful candidate will be a social media junkie with a proven track record running social media programs for large brands serving multiple audiences. They will also have strong analytical capabilities that they will use to inform campaigns that deliver positive business performance.  Is this you?  We hope to hear from you!!

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop overarching social strategy for company globally, including rationalizing approach for multi-audience marketplace (employees, job seekers, employers, employees, media/investors) in the U.S. and other key international markets
  • Define objectives for brand's social platforms, then execute, measure and adapt accordingly based on overall business goals/priorities 
  • Lead and project manage social programs, collaborating with internal teams and outside vendors, to implement on time and within budget 
  • Collaborate with brand, PR, demand generation, content, and other marketing and business teams to build effective campaigns
  • Stay on the cutting-edge of social innovation, including implementing new tools and platforms to increase awareness, maximize engagement
Creative & Content: 
  • Work closely with brand, marketing, editorial and PR teams to build social components into all external-facing programs
  • Guide the development of engaging content/images/videos across all social platforms, with an eye toward the highest quality brand storytelling and voice expression 
  • Conduct brainstorms with cross-functional teams to surface and gather new, innovative ways to create social content and programs 
  • Oversee timelines and collaborate with brand creative teams to drive asset approval and delivery on a timely basis 
Accountability & Reporting: 
  • Identify and monitor KPIs across all social platforms in all markets to optimize future content and programs to drive engagement 
  • Spearhead social reporting and standardize analysis to improve performance / effectiveness 
  • Thoroughly understand ever-evolving social metrics and liaise with marketing, PR and data science on best practices and benchmarks 
Customer Service: 
  • Build best-in-class program to address user and client questions, issues, concerns and accolades to facilitate conversations and build goodwill
  • Provide internal stakeholders with guidance about social content that will promote our brand and programs; support the development of this content as needed
  • Analyze feedback from all key audiences via social channels that can help inform and improve our business and products

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in social media, preferably with a global brand with multiple target audiences and stakeholders, with a proven track record of working strategically to develop social media plans 
  • Experience with developing and managing a strategic social media program and department budget 
  • Experience developing content-driven programs to increase engagement, build brand equity, loyalty and engagement and establish a positive experience through social media execution
  • Must be conversant in the latest social media platforms and technology, including best practices for social media strategy, content and design 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in delivering clear and concise information through social, written, verbally and through presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with a sense of urgency required to work in a deadline driven environment 
  • Positive attitude, team player with professional demeanor 
  • Intellectual curiosity and strong willingness to learn and push the envelope on innovation
