Desktop Support Analyst

As a Desktop Support Analyst at Glassdoor you will be at the heart of our growing IT operations organization. You will be responsible for resolving support requests and ensuring that the technology needs of our customers are met. You will work closely with IT, Security, and Engineering groups to design reliable, scalable, and secure support practices.  Your positive attitude, creativity, and ability to think critically will elevate our support team. Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site or remote support for global customer base
  • Prioritize assigned tickets and work to resolution
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot end-user hardware and software problems
  • Image and validate configuration of new computers
  • Track hardware inventory and configuration
  • Contribute to the creation of support documentation
  • Contribute to development of standards and best practices
  • Provide support and training through hands on engagement
  • Support telecommunications and teleconferencing systems
  • Assist with AV support for corporate events
  • Participate On/Offboarding processes
  • Participate in on-call rotation

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support role
  • Excellent problem solving and research skills
  • Proficiency with OSX and Windows operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of network technology (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wireless)
  • Experience working within a ticketing system like ZenDesk

Nice to have:

  • Endpoint management solutions like SCCM, Casper Suite, Munki
  • SSO solution like Okta or OneLogin
  • Enterprise applications like Google Apps, Box, Confluence, Jira
  • Telecommunication using 8x8, Digium
  • Teleconferencing with BlueJeans, Polycom
  • AD Group Policy or Centrify to manage endpoint configuration
  • Proficiency with a scripting language
