Sr. Business Systems Analyst, Netsuite

This role is a key hire in seeding our new Finance Technology Team to manage those investments, both from day-to-day reporting, as well as strategic perspective. This role is designed to work very closely with the Corporate Controller, CFO, finance and business-to-business product teams.

The ideal team member for this role will have a blend of technical and business experience with very strong expertise in the financial technology stack. This team member will be responsible for day-to-day reporting needs for the finance team, as well as all NetSuite access and change control needs. This person will also take the lead in defining the systems architecture, data model and business processes to support our financial operations. The team member is expected to be a NetSuite expert and have a strong background in accounting/financial best practices. During the inception of the new FinTech team, this person will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the NetSuite application within the context of the other financial systems.


  • Meet with business leaders, decision makers, and end users to define business requirements, and systems goals
  • Facilitate discussions among business owners to understand problem statements and gather requirements
  • Partner with Finance team to gather business requirements and pain points, and translate them to technical solution using best practices and leveraging standard functionalities.
  • Lead Netsuite system related projects, enhancements, and process redesign
  • Responsible to support finance technology stack and architect solutions to automate and scale financial operations, to optimize operational efficiencies
  • Develop and maintain departmental dashboards, searches, and reports, as needed by the finance department.
  • Perform daily administrative and production support tasks and maintain system documentation, as required by Change Management Control policies
  • Customize, implement and QA changes required on NetSuite and related Financial boundaries, to support existing and new needs of the finance and accounting teams, including managing the testing process that includes developing test plans, creating test cases, establishing protocols and appropriate testing environments
  • Identify internal requirements and development of systems that improves NetSuite productivity and enforce corporate policies and procedures
  • Take proactive steps to ensure quality of financial data and perform regular data audits; resolve data integrity issues

Technical Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills:

  • 7+ years of combined experience in architecting, consulting, data modelling, implementing and customizing solutions and workflows built on multi-currency NetSuite platforms
  • System implementation, Agile project management and data flow best practices knowledge
  • Experience with atleast one NetSuite SuiteCloud development tools such as SuiteBuilder, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics, and/or SuiteScript to develop new and maintain existing business workflows
  • Experience in system integrations tools such as SuiteTalk, RESTlets and Netsuite SOAP APIs
  • Strong hands-on experience in Quote-to-Cash processes and tools
  • Experience implementing and testing NetSuite bundles and partner applications
  • Experience in using middleware like Boomi or Celigo would be helpful
  • Experience in extending NetSuite for new markets, currencies and locations
  • Experience in architecting and developing data synchronization solutions across NetSuite and other systems
  • Experience with SOX readiness and compliance for systems and data stack
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, LucidChart
  • 4-year degree BS/BA in a technical, business or other analytical field required
  • Certification in NetSuite is strongly desired
