As a Senior Systems Administrator at Glassdoor, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and continual improvement of many of Glassdoor’s corporate systems. Our ideal candidate is highly technical, intellectually curious, driven, and passionate about creating an amazing user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, automate, and manage corporate IT infrastructure
  • Design comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and escalation strategies
  • Manage and optimize log aggregation platforms
  • Establish a configuration management framework for corporate systems
  • Develop world-class endpoint management strategy for Mac and Windows platforms
  • Develop and maintain a strong security posture for corporate systems
  • Provide upper tier support and contribute to the technical development of our support team

Required qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in relevant technical field or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of leading infrastructure and engineering projects
  • Scripting experience using Bash, Python, or PowerShell
  • Expert in Linux or Windows server OS’s, working knowledge of both
  • Solid experience in infrastructure virtualization, particularly with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience managing infrastructure and endpoints in highly diverse, multi-platform environments
  • Strong customer service, leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of network technology and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching, wireless)

  • Enterprise applications like Google Apps, Okta, Box
  • Endpoint management using tools like Munki, Jamf, SCCM
  • Configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Salt
  • Database technology like MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres
  • Active Directory
  • Cisco / Palo Alto Networks
