As the Sales Operations Director - EMEA, you will be a key business partner to the GM of EMEA as well as the EMEA Sales leadership team to drive and deliver business results.  


What you will do in this role:

You will provide tactical business insights and support to deliver on revenue targets and deliver operational excellence to enable the selling team.

You will partner closely with the central sales operations and sales organization to ensure seamless execution.

You will advise on sales and business planning, market segmentation, joint go-to-market planning with marketing, as well as evaluate market opportunities and assess and analyze sales performance metrics.

You will drive best practice forecasting and implement where appropriate global processes and policies to drive standardization and scalability across the broader org.  

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, self-directed, detail oriented and have the ability to work both strategically and tactically. As this is a senior lehands-ons on role, we are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who can drive strategy, execute on tactics and build a team.  


Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary business partner to the GM and Sales Director of EMEA, helping to deliver the business by delivering analytical insights, driving sales effectiveness and overall process improvement
  • Partner with the GM and Sales leadership to identify key levers to drive the business
  • Own regular reporting including annual KPIs and QBRs
  • Build effective relationships with colleagues and senior executives from sales, sales operations, finance, marketing and product organizations
  • Partner with central sales operations to launch and drive core operational processes
  • Be the voice of EMEA Sales back to the Product team, Marketing team, and other central operations functions. Champion change; ensure that any changes rolled out centrally are deployed in the field
  • Process orders in the CRM system when needed.  Maintain a superior level of accuracy, consistency, and work quality while doing any work, particularly involving order management
  • Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM and other programs as required
  • Support the quoting process with global sales based on established policies and procedures
  • Communicate with the sales teams to clear up any missing information or inconsistencies on orders; provide continuous cross-functional operational support specific to order management
  • Respond to sales inquiries and/or questions relating to orders, order fulfillment, confirmations, and general customer service questions
  • Quoting tool point of contact (troubleshoot quote creation issues, liaison to Sales Systems team for tool technical issues and enhancements)
  • Report and dashboard development in the CRM in support of sales

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent 4-year degree required
  • 10+ years of progressive work experience, including 5+ years Sales Operations experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com a must
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as contribute to a team
  • Ability to multi-task and to quickly change pace on a moment’s notice
  • High level of accountability; willing to take ownership and solve problems
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal), presentation, and facilitation skills including experience with senior management
  • Ability to work strategically and tactically
  • Dedication to excellent customer service, timeliness, and the ability to perform under tight deadlines

  • Sound business judgment and strategic thinking; tactical and can dive deep into details. Highly credible, influential, and collaborative
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; quantitative discipline preferred (Engineering, Math, Economics, etc.)
  • MS or MBA a plus
  • International experience expanding a business in EMEA a plus
