The EMEA HR Manager will partner directly with the EMEA Glassdoor leadership team to provide HR counsel and support. As a key member of the global People Operations team, you will be required to demonstrate a broad scope of HR knowledge and experience and contribute proactively to the planning and delivery of HR services.  As the sole People representative in EMEA, this position offers an outstanding opportunity to develop and grow your HR experience within a global, growing company.

In this role, you will provide key HR support to senior management and employees including recruitment, learning & development, talent management, HR operations and other associated tasks such as compliance and benefits and perks management.

HRM Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation and coaching to frontline leaders within the EMEA region
  • Improve manager capabilities through coaching and implementation of management development programs and opportunities
  • Work closely with, and as part of, the global People Operations team members to implement specific HR processes and transactions to support employee and manager-generated requests
  • Analyze data, understand trends, and develop proactive solutions to further support business objectives
  • Provide HR counsel and a full range of generalist services to Glassdoor EMEA
  • Ensure local best practice, statutory compliance and employment law is followed within EMEA
  • Monitor and provide support to the business during annual processes such as performance reviews, calibration, employee survey action planning, compensation and rewards, and headcount planning
  • Assist managers and employees in understanding and applying people tools, policies and procedures in order to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance
  • Complete ad-hoc projects, reporting and tasks as required with cross-functional HR / Partner teams, working on or leading projects/programs

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • 6+ years in a key HR role, of which at least 4 years must be in a fast growing company
  • A strong knowledge of EU employment legislation and the proven ability to translate this into practical advice for GD leaders
  • Ideally experience using Workday or a similar platform
  • Confidence in handling ambiguity and fluid situations and have an abundance of common sense and pragmatism
  • Detail and goal-oriented, has the flexibility to deal with multiple and changing priorities while focused on customer service and quality
  • Outstanding communications skill with the ability to connect and develop trust quickly with all levels within an organization
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment and manage own time and workload effectively
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
