The Data team helps make Glassdoor products smarter and better for our users and partners. We thrive on data. We advocate, evangelize & build data-fueled products for our users (ex. personalization or fraud tools) and for our clients (ex. sentiment analysis of our reviews). We are investing rapidly towards modernizing our Data Platform, Analytics & Business Intelligence solutions to make Data an integral part of Glassdoor’s Strategy and to further fuel a data-driven culture across the company. You will define the vision, create a plan and help us get there.

The Role

This person will own Product Management of our Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Solutions for our Marketing and Sales line of business. A core component of our product offering to our clients is analytics and insights into job seeker behavior and employee engagement, built on Big Data. You will develop a deep understanding of our Sales, Consumer and B2B Marketing business and products and the data architecture beneath it. You will be responsible for working with all functional heads, analyzing their product and business needs and defining data solutions to empower them. You will develop and deliver our product roadmap. You will define detailed Data Integration / ETL requirements and prioritize them. You will ensure that data solutions developed are intuitive for business users and rapidly adopted and consumed by business. And you will constantly evangelize a data-driven culture.

A sampling of projects this role would work on –

  • Define our reporting tools & framework (data-sets, dashboards, documentation) for all our business needs
  • How do we create real-time personalized insights for each of our Clients and Prospects based on automated analysis of Glassdoor data for each Employer?
  • How do we create alerting algorithms & tools for our Client Services team to flag clients at risk of attrition or prospects that might be interesting in buying our products?
  • What access tools should we evaluate and choose for fast ad-hoc analysis of Big Data?
  • Define and enable generic logging and analytics methods for A/B testing that will address all our AB test scenarios

Requirements 

  • 4-5 years of progressive experience working within an Analytics and/or Business Intelligence environment, with deep know-how of both the technical and business aspects of data solutions
  • Extremely strong SQL skills and understanding of data modeling and ETL.
  • Experience with Hadoop and Big Data technologies desired
  • Strong product management skills and ability to inspire engineering teams.
  • Knowledge and experience with agile development process a must
  • Thorough problem solving and analytical skills, combined with strong business acumen
  • A strong voice for data integrity and reporting quality utilizing best practices and industry standards
  • Prior experience with front-end reporting & analysis tools – like Tableau, Looker, Spark, etc.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
