As an AV Systems Administrator at Glassdoor, you will provide the strategy, design, implementation, and day-to-day administration of our global AV, VoIP, and video conferencing technologies. They should be highly technical and familiar with the basics of networking and server administration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lifecycle management of AV, VoIP, and video conferencing equipment and technology
  • Design comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and escalation strategies for critical collaboration systems
  • Contribute to design of networks and policies to ensure optimal function of collaboration systems
  • Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and specifications for collaboration systems
  • Interface with vendors and act as a point of contact, communicate functional and technical application requirements, manage vendor deliverables, install and configure purchased software packages, and perform necessary integration tasks
  • Work to improve the quality of existing video conference integrations and assist in the development of next generation video conference solutions
  • Provide third level support, including being on an on-call rotation during off hours, to diagnose audio and video related issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with support team and vendors on production system problems and communicate workarounds

Requirements:

  • 5+ years relevant  experience
  • Experience conducting site surveys, designing and installing audio visual solutions. Advanced AV design experience is desired
  • Experience deploying and managing cloud-based video conferencing and voice solutions
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals related teleconferencing technologies (QoS, switching, routing, cabling best practices, netflow / traffic analytics)
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration and communication skills
  • On-call rotation will be necessary

Nice to have:

  • Experience deploying and managing BlueJeans integrated conference rooms
  • Experience with Polycom VoIP phones and RealPresence Group series codecs
  • Experience with 8x8 cloud VoIP system
  • Experience with AV matrix technologies like Crestron
  • Knowledge of one or more scripting languages
