Procurement Specialist

Description

As the Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting all procurement activities for Glassdoor.  This role will work closely with operational stakeholders of all levels including close collaboration with the FP&A, Accounting and Legal teams.  This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience covering the entire purchase order (PO) lifecycle and to be a key member of a fast-paced finance team.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent business judgment, and be customer-focused.  This role will report to the VP of Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary point of contact for the entire procurement process, including, but not limited to: vendor selection and onboarding, review of purchase requisitions, change orders, receiving, and system configuration.
  • Collaborate with business partners across the organization to help them to effect purchasing transactions that adhere to budgetary constraints, are in compliance with the Purchasing Policy, and have beneficial contract terms and conditions for Glassdoor.
  • Work closely with the Legal team to ensure adherence to legal requirements for procuring goods and services
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of the purchasing function and the management of transactional activities (ie. training, reporting, communication, etc.)
  • Manage and establish relationships with key suppliers and own supplier database.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a buyer / procurement operations role
  • Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong contract management and negotiation skills.
  • Experienced in contract negotiations for indirect spend commodities such as software and advertising.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience with Coupa or Workday Procurement a plus.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in a fast-paced environment -- willing to wear many hats and be hands on in both process improvement and in ongoing execution of purchasing function
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
