Description

We are looking for a top-notch analytics and data Leader to help scale and evolve our sales & marketing analytics, insights, reporting and forecasting process and infrastructure for our B2B sales organization. In leading our Sales & Marketing Analytics team you will own the foundational data and structure of our sales performance. You will lead a team in building tools to automate and support business analysis, generate insights, enable forecasting and facilitate planning.  You will own the forecasting process and develop a best practice approach to our business forecasting. You will be the technical subject matter expert when it comes to sales data. You will be a self-starter and have a natural ability to structure data in a simplified way. You will be regularly interacting with our Go-to-market leadership, including the SVP of sales and COO and will be able to present and discuss business results and expectation with Glassdoor’s CFO and CEO. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical and consultative mindset, deep understanding of databases and data visualization, the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment delivering against tight deadlines, and a passion for rigor and driving operations to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and execute a holistic approach to reporting and analyzing performance that the Sales and Marketing teams rely on to extract data/insights, building on and expanding the current approach  
  • Build out a best practice forecasting process for both a top down and bottoms up approach on a weekly and monthly basis, including defining rep / manager activities as well as what and how forecasts are provided for executive reporting
  • Automate reporting, providing real time insights where possible through SFDC, Tableau or other reporting tools as needed
  • Own forecasting systems infrastructure to facilitate seamless process execution
  • Build data expertise and own data quality for sales and marketing performance information
  • Design and execute SFDC reporting and dashboards for reps and managers to utilize to execute day to day revenue generation
  • Design and implement business SQL logic in building dashboards
  • Support the Sales and Marketing Operations Team with setting goals/KPIs for the business as well as key planning and operational asks
  • Lead a team of analysts to execute on overall team deliverables and goals
  • Partner with key stakeholders (i.e. Business Operations, Sales, SFDC team) to gather and analyze structured feedback to improve sales metrics
  • Interface with Sales Operations, Marketing Operations and Sales Leadership  re: data and reporting needs;identify solutions based on current and future architecture
  • Own relevant data dictionary as it relates to SFDC and Data Warehouse
  • Own the data for Sales weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting as required and support any ad hoc data needs
  • Provide measurement and insight into key business drivers of performance against expectations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in an analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar)
  • 8-10+ years of progressive work experience leading Sales Business or Data Analysis in a growth business
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work closely with Executive stakeholders and understand their needs
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand commercial business strategy and understand the results behind the numbers
  • Ability to analyze data to identify patterns, gaps and inconsistencies
  • Ability to think critically about existing infrastructure & processes and communicate projects, plans and deliverables effectively to senior/executive leadership
  • Ability to set goals, allocate resources and project manage a team to success
  • Collaborative orientation, team player, demonstrates positivity
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex quantitative analysis in actionable insights
  • Strong working knowledge of analytical tools, such as Python, SQL, R, Excel, and visualization software (e.g. Looker, Tableau, etc.)
