We are seeking a Revenue Operations Analyst/Sr. Analyst, depending on experience, to contribute to a world-class finance organization in a fast growth, pre-IPO environment. The ideal candidate will have operational deal desk accounting experience in internet advertising and social media and an eagerness to support all aspects of finance. Strong communication, organizational, analytical and customer service skills are essential. You will be integral to the finance team, and need to be an enthusiastic, proactive, hands-on individual who enjoys a quick-paced startup/pre-IPO environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the process of evaluating change orders, make goods and return authorizations from a revenue perspective
  • Review bookings to ensure that criteria for revenue recognition criteria have been met
  • Prepare/review month-end closing activities
  • Demonstrate fundamentals of professional behavior including accountability and an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers and cross functional internal departments in order to manage information and the timely resolution of issues
  • Be a key member in the audit process

Skills:

  • Ability to take ownership of change orders driving month end and daily activities to conclusion and ultimate recognition as part of the month end close process.
  • Must be able to exercise judgment and critical thinking to understand issues and demonstrate resourcefulness to solve problems in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate an ability to work independently and within a group acting as the subject matter expert
  • Strong analytical skills while maintaining data integrity and a sharp attention to detail
  • Be familiar with Revenue accounting principles contained in ASC 605 and related guidance
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise format
  • Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of multiple variables
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills
  • Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially Excel)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills across various levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in accounting or finance
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance
  • Prior Big 4 or 2nd tier firm experience required
  • Experience in high transaction volume environments is essential
  • RevPro and/or NetSuite experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition and related concepts including fair value analysis
  • Strong organizational skills required, specifically task prioritization and effective time management.
  • Inquisitive, highly motivated, always exploring, and asking "what if" questions – challenging current interpretations of data and finding the most critical metrics in a dynamic environment
