Senior Database Administrator (DBA)

Engineering Mill Valley, California

Our mission is to help people everywhere find a job and company they love.  We are disrupting an industry by changing how people search for jobs and how companies recruit top talent.

As a Sr. Database Administrator, you will be responsible for all aspects of database administration for our production and development database servers. These responsibilities will focus on creating, configuring and maintaining SQL Server and other databases. You will be responsible for database monitoring as well as troubleshooting performance issues with CPU, memory, I/O and query optimization. You will oversee backups and take responsibility for our overall backup strategy. We currently have multiple production OLTP database servers and a data warehouse hosted by a third party, as well as a half dozen internal staging and QA databases environments.

As a growing late-stage startup, we look for self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment – which means wearing many hats, being able to change direction quickly, and showing an eagerness to learn new technologies as the need arises.  In this role you work with a small, collaborative team of engineers, QA, and product managers – so excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also a must.  But most importantly – we look for people that can prioritize, multi-task, and deliver – because it’s a lot more fun to get things done.
