Glassdoor is seeking a Director of Global Sales Enablement. This role is responsible for managing the overall design, development, and rollout of multiple strategic enablement initiatives designed to improve overall sales efficiency and effectiveness.  The Director, Sales Enablement will own and drive the enablement roadmap. The right candidate is highly skilled at building a sales enablement engine to ensure maximum effectiveness of the team’s ability to exceed revenue and customer expectations. This will be a highly visible role at the forefront of driving productivity and sales force transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales enablement organization at Glassdoor to include defining and implementing sales training, content creation, sales tools, and delivery of programs for global sales
  • Development and management of the Sales Enablement roadmap from onboarding to continuing education
  • Deliver against metrics defined with Sales leadership to meet sales productivity and other competitive win metrics
  • Prioritize and align enablement needs by identifying biggest sales and skill gaps, while mapping solutions to priorities across onboarding, product/solutions training, and role-level learning paths
  • Development, delivery and training of effective sales playbooks by field sales role in tight collaboration with field sales (especially first-line managers), sales operations, education and product marketing
  • Partner with Sales leadership in the development of manager training programs to ensure they have the skills, knowledge, processes and tools required to develop, mentor, coach and lead their sales teams effectively
  • Define and develop new sales enablement assets and tools and work with Product Marketing and Product Management to customize messaging and materials for these audiences
  • Manage content to successfully prioritize, create, integrate and publish training materials and related communications to Sales teams in one place to efficiently access and leverage
  • Implement cross-functional sales enablement programs by determining specific gaps in existing processes and skills, and ensuring they are addressed in new program development
  • Lead selection and deployment of sales tools and technologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with other departments in order to provide information to sales teams on product, process, and other changes/updates that may affect the sales team as part of ongoing training & preparedness
  • Build clear and compelling communications to drive sales efficiency through active listening; objection handling focused on enriching sales productivity for new and existing Sales team members
  • Build evaluation process with sales for constant feedback and improvement
  • Lead the development and delivery of a range of enablement activities including onboarding, continuous learning and reinforcement, annual sales kickoffs, midyear meetings and other enablement events

Experience:

  • Combination of 10+ years of sales and sales enablement/sales training; experience in a quota carrying role and the aptitude to recognize the challenges that the Sales team encounters daily
  • BS/BA required; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience developing and socializing sales programs, and creating sales methodologies; experience in building competency and certification programs for sales personnel required
  • 5+ years of people management; strong motivational, coaching, & mentoring skills
  • Experience developing strategic account plans and sales playbooks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-departmental collaboration on strategic initiatives; ability to collaborate and partner with key members of functional teams
  • Excellent consulting skills; ability to understand business strategy and key purchasing drivers to create effective training materials
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in sales technologies and CRM tools; Salesforce required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to foster & maintain strong partnering relationships with sales and internal departments
  • Proven ability to demonstrate capabilities in person and in virtual settings (e.g., conference or virtual meetings)
  • Executive communicator; comfortable and experienced at multiple levels
  • Team player that understands success rests on helping others to be successful
