Senior Director of Email and Campaign Operations, B2B Marketing

As the Senior Director of Email and Campaign Operations, you’ll manage Glassdoor’s marketing automation, lead nurturing, measurement and analytics, with an emphasis on growing our business with ROI positive campaigns. You’ll work cross functionally to ensure we have the right infrastructure and attribution models to analyze lead flow and funnel economics. You’ll partner with sales to optimize conversions to deliver on MQL, SQL, and revenue targets each quarter. You’ll also service the entire B2B marketing organization in successful campaign tracking and analytics to optimize all of our marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate is an experienced hands-on operator who has proven experience building and scaling revenue via email and nurture. This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area reporting to the VP of Marketing. You’ll be a key partner and advisor to the marketing, sales, SDR, and business operations teams, and you’ll work in an amazing culture on a high-functioning team. You’ll also work for a leader has experience building industry-leading teams and who has a strong understanding of marketing operations.

The Role

  • Manage and mentor a growing team 9 focused on campaign operations, email operations, and analytics
  • Manage email demand generation strategy and execution to acquire, qualify, nurture, and analyze inbound marketing leads to align with sales funnel, work flow, and revenue targets
  • Build out customer lifecycle email nurture to improve customer value retention  business acquisition for our Enterprise, SMB and Self Service customers.
  • Ensure best practice compliance by monitoring deliverability and reputation and following all anti-spam regulations
  • Provide proactive in depth analysis on topics, offer types, campaigns, channels, nurture flow, and email sends along with insights to help every team optimize their contribution to the team
  • Oversee the email channel programs and tactics; develop and expand your team as the company grows
  • Drive a culture of rapid test and learn to discover new and innovative ways to scale revenue and improve ROI
  • Partner with sales on the life-of-a-lead process, including lead scoring, lead nurturing, account-based-marketing (ABM) programs, and lead follow up activity to optimize sales and SDR productivity
  • Lead some of the lighter technical aspects of marketing operations including changes to the Marketo platform, Tableau dashboards, list importation, campaign tracking and QA
  • Work with the IT and Sales ops teams as a contributor on strategy for more complex technical operational and integration projects
  • Manage third party vendors, contractors, and internal resources
  • Network outside the company to benchmark our email and campaign operations and ensure best-in-class practices

What You Bring To The Table

  • BA or BS degree, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive B2B career experience and leadership in marketing operations, demand generation, customer acquisition, email marketing, and/or analytics / BI
  • Extensive experience managing fast-paced email marketing teams supporting a large number of stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker, but hands-on and a strong mentor who can jump in to teach the team to solve problems
  • Ability to work well under pressure and at a rapid pace
  • Proven success building comprehensive lifecycle nurture programs that scale with rapid growth
  • Strong understanding of customer needs, database segmentation, and solving customer problems and challenges through marketing
  • Strong knowledge of anti-spam guidelines and email deliverability/reputation monitoring
  • Expert in Marketo, Google Analytics, Tableau, SFDC
  • Deep knowledge of B2B demand generation strategies and testing methodologies
  • Team player with strong cross-functional skills
  • Experience marketing to the HR or Recruiting audience a big plus
  • Experience running entire marketing or demand generation functions desired
