Director, Product Marketing

We are looking for a rockstar product marketer to lead our B2B Product Marketing team; someone who is passionate about innovation and talent, with a proven history of driving B2B go-to-market strategies that engage customers and accelerate growth, and with deep experience leading and developing teams.

As the Director of Product Marketing, you will own our B2B positioning, messaging platform, and go-to-market approach, and you will partner with product to influence development for our most strategic products. You will report to the Head of B2B Marketing and work together to set a vision for the function, develop the team, and forge cross-functional partnerships across the organization. Your work will be visible at the highest levels of the organization and with customers of all sizes in multiple geographies.

The role is based in Mill Valley, in the San Francisco Bay Area, where you’ll collaborate with leaders across numerous go-to-market functions and with key members of our executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own Glassdoor’s B2B positioning and messaging platform, customer segmentation, content roadmap
  • Influence go-to-market strategies and product development roadmaps in partnership with go-to-market and product leaders   
  • Develop an intimate understanding of our customers and their most pressing business challenges through research, feedback loops, and direct interactions
  • Understand the competitive landscape, and identify opportunities to reinforce Glassdoor’s competitive differentiation
  • Inform marketing campaign strategy based on knowledge of the customer, their needs, and our messaging platform
  • Drive efforts to produce collateral with compelling narratives that engage our customers at all stages of the customer lifecycle
  • Lead a team of 5 product marketers

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 10+ years relevant experience, including 5+ years of people management experience
  • Undergraduate degree in a business discipline required, MBA preferred
  • Deep experience driving strategic work, while deft at balancing strategy and tactics to drive growth
  • A strong track record of customer-centricity, and ability to apply a customer-first focus from positioning development through go-to-market execution
  • Experience engaging with customers across geographies and industries, at all levels
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to partner with data science teams to apply data in relevant, meaningful ways
  • Passion for managing people and developing talent
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization including our CEO and executive team
  • Skilled, positive, optimistic collaborator adept at partnering cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors as needed
  • Comfortable with fast-paced environments and rapidly changing priorities
  • Refined attention to detail, impressive organizational skills, and an eye for consistency
  • A sense of humor, inclusive leadership style, and can-do attitude that adds to the Glassdoor culture
