Contract Copywriter

The Global Marketing team at Glassdoor is looking for an experienced writer on a contract basis to carry out copywriting projects from start to finish: drafting, proofing and editing content for all emails, landing pages, and some website pages.

Can you write compelling subject lines in a blink of an eye? Are you able to turn long paragraphs of detail into succinct and witty call-to-action text? We’re looking for a talented copywriter to help us bring Glassdoor’s mission to life. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and creative individual who is ready to own the voice for our emails; a strong writer who is very detail-oriented and a fast learner. This person will need to quickly adapt to the Glassdoor brand voice to create top-notch marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, draft, proofread and publish B2B email and landing page copywriting projects, ensuring deadlines and goals are met
  • Learn the Glassdoor voice, tone and brand to assist the marketing team in creating promotional copy for key programs and marketing materials
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout Glassdoor on cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Guide or edit copy crafted by these various teams to ensure it reflects the Glassdoor brand voice

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills, including experience writing email and landing page copy in a B2B Marketing environment
  • Please include link to portfolio or sites that demonstrates a proven ability to write positive, on-brand, clear copy for B2B
  • Expert in email copy best practices, experience learning what works via A/B Testing
  • Knowledge of email filter triggers and CAN-SPAM compliance as it relates to email copy
  • General knowledge of SEO for optimizing landing page and site copy
  • Excellent attention to detail, superb organizational/prioritization skills, and an eye for consistency
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies or organizational changes
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, positive and prepared to handle juggling multiple projects with various deadlines while keeping high attention to detail
  • Undergraduate degree, Marketing, PR or Journalism degree preferred
  • A passion for Glassdoor, our products and how we help employers find candidates they love
  • Seeking up to 40 hours per week
  • Local Bay Area candidates - a minimum of 2 days/week onsite required
