The Sales Strategy & Operations Lead, SMB is responsible for providing leadership on strategic programs and key decisions for Glassdoor’s sales leadership team.  In this role, you will work with senior sales executives, marketing leaders, and operations partners to provide data-driven leadership on key strategic decisions and programs, while also identifying and implementing operational improvements.

You will partner with the VP of SMB Sales and the broader organization to gain a deep understanding of market opportunities and challenges.  You will provide both strategic and tactical business insights to deliver on revenue targets and operational excellence to enable the selling team. You will advise on sales and business planning, market segmentation, joint go-to-market planning with marketing, as well as evaluate market opportunities and assess and analyze sales performance metrics.

Who You Are and What You Do:

  • 6-8 years of progressive work experience; including at least 2 years experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, or equivalent experience in private equity, VC, or strategy / operations position at a fast-growing technology company
  • Excellent analytical and business intelligence skills. Deep expertise in building models and conducting complex analysis in Excel a must; experience with Salesforce a plus. Demonstrated ability to succinctly interpret data and convert ideas to action
  • Experience writing queries in SQL, and visualizing data in Tableau a plus
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal), presentation, and facilitation skills including deep experience with senior management
  • Sound business judgment and strategic thinking; tactical and can dive deep into details
  • Highly credible, influential, and collaborative
  • Bachelor’s Degree from top-tier university required; quantitative discipline preferred (Engineering, Math, Economics, etc.)
  • MBA from top tier school preferred
