Sr. Director, Corporate Quality

Description

This leadership position will play an instrumental role in driving Corporate Quality (reporting, governance, execution & optimization) to ensure best in class customer experience to align with Gigamon’s business and corporate vision. This role is situated at our headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. It follows a hybrid model, with the expectation of in-office presence three days a week.  
      
In this role, you will develop corporate and organizational policies/processes and authorize their implementation both internally and externally. You will possess a detailed knowledge of the strategy and products allowing for innovative concepts and promoting continuous improvement. As the quality head, you will provide direction to senior managers in various organizations and functions. This is a very visible and influential role with the expectation of reporting on the right metrics and drive corrective actions to closure. This role will also have direct accountability for product quality and associated processes (HW, SW, Mfg).       
      
Key Responsibilities      
   
  • Accountable for overall Quality performance of Gigamon’s products and services       
  • Work closely with the various functional leaders to define metrics, perform analysis and propose corrective action plans and present to the executive leadership team       
  • Influence policymaking and conduct internal audits of hardware & software engineering, QA, manufacturing operations, and global services.       
  • Defines and implements systems and metrics for Gigamon        
  • Performs compliance monitoring of all areas of quality management systems, including trending of failures and evaluating closure rate/efficiency of corrective actions.       
  • Reviews customer and partner requirements and implements required processes, policies and systems as needed, to meet expectations regarding Quality.       
  • Executes responses to field actions and coordinates global response with Quality leadership and associated corporate functions.      
     
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities      
   
  • Ability to manage quality projects effectively, from planning to implementation and monitoring.       
  • Ability to set clear vision of what is required to meet corporate quality initiatives and can execute against that ideal cross-functionally.       
  • You have strong problem-solving capabilities and do not shy away from tackling operational or product quality incidents.       
  • Attention to detail- A keen eye for detail is important in identifying quality issues and ensuring that all aspects meet the required quality standards.     
  • Communication - You align and collaborate with all organizations and customers. You can navigate a matrixed environment where teamwork takes precedence.
     
   
Education/Experience     
   
  • Requires Bachelor of Science degree, preferably electrical engineering       
  • 15+ years of experience in a global Quality function       
  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial position is preferred.   

   

The base salary compensation range targeted for this role based out of Gigamon's Santa Clara, CA, Headquarters office is $216,000 - 270,000, with an opportunity to earn an annual bonus or commission (subject to terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
