About the Team: 
At Gigamon, Solutions Engineering is dedicated to enabling the field sales team to provide customers with advanced deep observability solutions across their hybrid cloud environments. We review customer environment, design, and validate Gigamon offerings inline with industry best practices and recommendations across their hybrid cloud environments. Assist customer objective to secure their operating environment and preserving the trust they have on our solutions and capabilities. The right candidate will contribute to the design, deployment and documenting best practices for solutions and scaling them to work in various private and public cloud environments. Working as part of a growing, dynamic team, the candidate will thrive in a cross-functional environment. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Be a subject matter expert for Gigamon’s product portfolio for private and public Clouds including VMware NSX-T, AWS, Azure, OpenStack, google cloud, Kubernetes and more.
  • Collaborate closely with Gigamon Sales Engineers and technology partners in strategic demo, design discussions and proof-of-concepts for strategic and complex customer deployments.
  • Translate complex customer requirements into innovative and technically viable solutions.
  • Use the latest cloud technologies to identify use cases as well as design and validate highly scalable traffic visibility solutions that wisely leverage cloud resources
  • Apply programming skills to automate recommended solutions and develop tools for sales engineering team.
  • Create reference architectures / validated designs recommending best practices for Gigamon’s Cloud customers.
 
Requirements: 
  • BS or Masters in CS or related field
  • Deep domain expertise in networking and security of public /private clouds
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and deploying end to end solutions in the following areas:
    • Expertise in one or more private or public clouds including VMware NSX-T, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes or more
    • Automation and Programming experience in Python, C, or another programming language. Experience in Terraform and Ansible a plus
    • Exposure to Networking, or related technologies such as SASE, SDN etc is a plus.
  • Ability to be both hands-on and think strategically.
  • Adept at prioritizing activities and leading best-in-class solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to convey complex ideas in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences, including engineering teams, customers, partners, and sales engineers.
