Manager, Regional Marketing Events

Who You Are: 
This position is responsible for all marketing activities, both strategic and tactical, required to meet business objectives of a specific region or an assigned industry segment(s). Activities include demand generation, event management, marketing planning for assigned areas of responsibility, digital marketing as appropriate, and customer retention. This position typically reports to a Director of Marketing or a Senior Manager.


Your Next Challenge:

  • Drive effective demand generation programs – with emphasis on priority market sectors – for new customer acquisition, retention, reactivation, cross-sell and upsell, consultation with local sales leadership
  • Develop and run tactical revenue-driving product promotions
  • Plan and execute a program of events and webinars as part of the regional marketing program
  • Negotiate and maintain partnerships with local associations and industry partners relevant to the local business objectives, inclusive of thought leadership, lead generation and brand awareness opportunities
  • Provide analysis as required on campaign performance and marketing ROI
  • Brand Identity and Messaging: Ensure that the target market understands and embraces Getty Images globally-defined identity, and that all advertising, customer communication and promotions are executed within the brand guidelines parameters
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts, most often within the Creative and Editorial teams, to drive awareness of and preference for our products and services in the market
  • Customer Advocate: Conduct research and solicit customer feedback to continuously improve the customer experience; be advocate for customer in decisions where multiple stakeholders’ objectives must be met
  • Develop the content for and supervise the production of regional on-demand sales tools and collateral
  • Maintain social media channels where applicable
  • Budget: Develop, defend and adhere to marketing budget
  • Support and coach direct reports (marketing specialists or associate managers) if relevant to the role
  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy for the region/segment

What You’ll need: 
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant and/or management experience in this field, especially with a focus on events and lead generation
  • Experience in event management as well as lead generation
  • Fluent in German and English 
  • Digital marketing experience is highly appreciated
  • Experience at developing full marketing plans including promotional strategy and media mix in both online and offline environments
  • Experience in working with creative agencies and other marketing providers
  • Experience in executing both tactical marketing activities (traffic, conversion, sales) and strategic marketing activities (identity development, strategic/competitive positioning, product development)
  • Clear understanding of the principles of business-to-business marketing, direct marketing, business services, and digital product distribution
  • Ability to build consensus toward common objectives
  • B.A. in Marketing or related field
