The Position

The Marketing Intern calls for a current student or new graduate with a passion in marketing. With the support and mentorship of the Marketing Manager, you will gain valuable industry experience in areas including but not limited to – event planning, market research, and social media.

 

Key Responsibilities


  • Supports Marketing Department in marketing programs and assigned project based work
  • Coordinates the development and distribution of marketing materials for print and e-marketing
  • Works with Merchandizing and Studio to coordinate print flyers and catalogue to ensure accuracy
  • Sources imagery from vendors and prep quality images for print and web
  • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of event planning activities
  • Sources promotional materials and print for various marketing and sales projects

 

What You’ll Require

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from post secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet navigation, social media and presentation software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, blogs, etc.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator preferred
  • Familiar with Marketing principles and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) practices and methods
  • Knowledge of marketing analytical tools such as Google Analytics is a definite asset, but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and customer service skills
