Purpose 

The Stewardship Subcommittee is a subgroup of the Stewardship Committee. This committee’s primary purpose is expressing appreciation to donors for their support of the Foundation, increasing awareness of the impact on both the Gamma Phi Beta sisterhood and larger community and fostering an enduring relationship between the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation and our donors.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Foundation in a positive, professional, informed, genuine and friendly manner.
  • Communicate with designated donors in a timely manner.
  • Thank donors by phone and/or written acknowledgement of a donation.
  • Notify donors when they reach a higher giving level.
  • Motivate donors to donate more to reach the next recognition level, when appropriate.
  • Participate in other specified activities as requested by the Stewardship Committee chair and/or chief development officer.
  • Maintain regular contact with donors as guided by the Stewardship Committee chair and the donor relations strategy.

Expectations

  • Member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.
  • Pay annual international alumnae dues or be a Life Loyal member. To check if you are in good standing, log in to GammaPhiBeta.org > Member > My Profile. On the first tab, if the paid-through date is blank or if the date is in the past, you have not yet paid this fiscal year. If you are Life Loyal, you have paid for life and are in good standing.
  • Appointed for a three-year term.
  • Annually signs a Confidentiality Statement and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Requires approximately three to four hours per month, on average.
  • No travel is expected for this role.
  • Complete basic Fidelity volunteer training modules.
  • Learn to use Beta Base for Foundation Donor tracking.
