Channel Manager - Job Description

Summary of Position

Develop sales strategies, support plans and partnership events that drive Channel sales and revenue growth.  This position is directly responsible for sales and revenue growth through the recruitment and management of existing and new Channel Partner relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Commercial alternate channel strategies to drive revenue for the Channel
  • Direct all projects within timelines (inception to completion)
  • Manage and leverage organizational support to fulfill Commercial Channel support and sales needs
  • Create Channel programs and processes that creatively support the overall market share and financial goals
  • Coordinate with Commercial Marketing and Product teams to ensure all Channel Partners needs alignment with Frontier strategies
  • Manage to an annual budget and sales/revenue quota
  • Manage escalation support for Channel Partners related to quoting, contracting, order and commissions processes, etc.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • 3 - 5 years of Channel/Partner management experience
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel (required 50%+) for recruiting, training, relationship development
  • Working knowledge of telecom marketplace, technology, and business organizational structures
  • Experience negotiating business points of Master Services Agreements and similar contracts
  • Solid business acumen that effectively articulates technical value propositions to existing and potential agents, partners and customers
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong team player able to develop strategies, action plans and share results in a team environment
  • Ability to develop and foster strong partner and customer relationships
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of an organization

Must be able to negotiate and/or influence others to gain support for the company's needs as they change
