Position Summary: An internship FoodKick is unique. FoodKick is seeking an intern interested in Business Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Management or any related field for a business development opportunity.

The position will be responsible for examining production, labor and financial data in order to support FoodKick. The position will be responsible for creating training material as well as training employees on how to use new equipment. A creative problem solver with solid analytical skills will be an excellent asset to our team. This role may perform a variety of activities in support of functional areas within business development for any specific project. This position will be located at both Manhattan & Brooklyn facilities.*

Essential Functions:

  • Research how FoodKick warehouse runs—how systems, people, materials and time interact in the production process—to build operations knowledge base
  • Design and develop training programs for internal employees on product knowledge and functions.
  • Provide assistance to the business in the execution of their daily tasks
  • Use FoodKick operating and business intelligence reporting platforms (e.g., SAP, Business Objects, MS Excel) to analyze production, labor and financial data
  • Support activities related to process change, from idea generation to technical specifications development through to implementation
  • Train employees how to use various systems and trouble shoot any issues in real time
  • Provide reporting support to plant managers on an ad-hoc basis
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates with a BA/BS in Business Administration, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Psychology, Human Resource Management or any related fieldMust Have:
  • Able to present numerical data in a concise, logical and useful manner
  • Able to write for and work with a wide range of audiences, from executives to line workers
  • Be detail & result oriented in getting tasks accomplished
  • Self-motivated; ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Enjoy operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Be proactive, efficient, customer focused and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Be a team player and willing to pitch in so that goals of the team are met
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
