Description

Position Summary: The Return Center Supervisor is responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Product Returns Department, ensuring the highest level quality of service provided by our associates, while supporting the policies, goal, and objectives of the company.

 Essential Functions:

  • Manage all product return exceptions
  • Monitor Returns Process to ensure all areas are covered and functioning
  • Direct all returns flow and allocation of resources
  • Drive productivity through the Performance Management processes
  • Participate and help manage programs to reduce shorts as they pertain to the Returns Center
  • Provide ongoing support to the Operations
  • Ensure all procedures, policies, and shorts awareness are thoroughly understood by support staff
  • Work with Operations Center Management & Field Managers to create and streamline processes
  • Clearly communicate company objectives ensuring staff is well informed
  • Train, motivate and develop support staff to reach their fullest potential, optimize productivity and achieve team goals
  • Manage staff schedule in accordance to budget and/or business needs by utilizing the staffing model designed by department (where necessary)
  • Resolve employee grievances and concerns and partner with HR on high level investigations
  • Identify and train talent for the department including coaching, training and develop matrixes and standards of continued excellence
  • Guide, direct and motivate staff around Performance Management and Labor Planning
  • Be a change agent by identifying areas of improvement, implementing new processes and documenting them accordingly with the partnership of Sr. Management
  • Support and participate various company projects, initiatives and programs as needed

 Supervision Received: 

  • Plans and carries out work assignments; resolves most conflicts which arise; coordinates work with others as necessary; interprets policy on own initiative in terms of established objectives.  Keeps Leadership informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications
  • Plans, designs, and carries out programs, projects, studies, or other work independently.  Receives little or no supervision from leader

Supervisory Duties: 

  • Trains, assigns work to, and checks work of five (5) or more Team members; participates in the decision to hire, fire, and promote Team members; does not conduct the same work as Team members on a regular basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and / or Holidays and be able to keep a flexible schedule during high volume production periods
  • Five plus (5+) years’ experience in a supervisory / management position
  • High School diploma/ and or equivalent / Associates degree preferred
  • Work outside in the element during all seasons
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Previous knowledge or experience with WMS, ERP or MPS
  • Demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous work experience and education
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to lead, train and develop a team
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Knowledge of department production processes, materials and production techniques
  • Previous Knowledge or experience with specialized inventory, warehouse operations systems
