Fulfillment Quality Manager - FoodKick

Position Summary: Responsibilities include all tasks aiding the optimization of fulfillment into all FoodKick facilities with an emphasized focus on outbound quality of goods from FreshDirect into FoodKick. Role will work alongside FreshDirect & FoodKick Operations, FoodKick Supply Chain and Merchandising teams. Additionally, responsibilities include projects to improve overall business success in relation to product in-stocks, quality and internal and inter-facility process flow improvements

 

Essential Functions:

FreshDirect Outbound: Includes but is not limited to the following functions:

  • Work with FreshDirect team (corporate management and operations) to improve the quality of product and service FoodKick receives, including product quality, workmanship, quantities, packaging & labeling, aggregation and sorting, and loading.
  • Supervise & check picking / staging of Foodkick orders to ensure high-quality, timely dispatch
  • Analyze and assist to determine and implement optimal process flows within FreshDirect Operations from the point of STO/transfer order dropping all the way through outbound transportation into FoodKick Operations
  • Create and determine specs and processes surrounding the review of FoodKick quality requirements
  • Assist in improving all factors which lead to successful procurement of product from FD to FK with respect to quality, on-time deliveries, customer in-stocks, saving the company entity time and decreasing costs
  • Write manual STRs to increase fulfillment quantities based on item availability and substitutions
  • Track quality of FreshDirect fulfillment to Foodkick facilities and distribute weekly reporting
  • Lead and audit improvements with respect to FreshDirect Supply Chain into Foodkick
  • Relay and translate communication between FreshDirect outbound and operations and Foodkick inbound/inventory functions
  • FoodKick Inventory & Product Procurement: Includes but is not limited to the following functions: 
  • Review ATP fails/shorts from FreshDirect each day and write purchase orders to remediate (emphasis on fresh)
  • Monitor logistics of inventory (delivery and replenishment) through all facilities
  • Communicate directly with vendors, FoodKick & FreshDirect Operations through email/phone and develop positive relationships
  • Maintain and ensure availability of “never out” product lists
  • In collaboration with facility buyers, react to overnight scrap/cycle counts to ensure availability
  • In collaboration with Fresh Managers and facility buyers, and FD operations, ensure availability of high-quality ready-to-eat / ripe produce (e.g. avocadoes, bananas)  
  • Track & flag frequently shorted / ATP failed items for re-sourcing by purchasing team                                                                          
  • Additional Purchasing tasks (for specific PO’s written):
  • Create Purchase orders and manage SAP data for successful procurement and invoicing
  • Use vendor portal (shorts / returns / etc.)
  • Validate vendor invoices to ensure correct purchasing price (work with accounts payable)SAP: Includes but is not limited to the following functions:

  • Understand / ensure SAP settings for successful procurement and invoicing & communicate/escalate problems as needed
  • Work with ERP and Master Data teams to deep dive into systemic obstacles or improvements which relate to an increased level of supply chain and operations successes within FoodKick

Interactions:

Supervision Received:

  • Plans and carries out work assignments and handles problems in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted practices in the occupation. Consults with Team leader on unique situations which do not have clear precedents.

Supervisory Duties:

  • No supervisory responsibility but is responsible for managing a specific function

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business, Economics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality Control or related
  • Prior work experience in a procurement, operations, quality, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or similar role
  • Experienced with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • SAP/ERP system experience/knowledge a plus                        
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Loves getting hands dirty to “get it done”
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
  • Eagerness to learn and work well with others to achieve success
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
