POSITION: Senior Financial Analyst<span

DEPARTMENT: FinanceREPORTS TO: VP, Finance

 

Position Summary:

 

Reporting to the VP Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst’s responsibilities are to support our business with complex modeling, reporting and analysis that promotes effective decision-making and accurate budgeting/forecasting.  The Senior Financial Analyst is a high visibility position within FreshDirect and a role which provides substantial opportunity for future growth within the organization. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Build and maintain complex financial models including P&L, cash flow and balance sheet to support all financial planning processes (annual planning, forecasting, analysis and the periodic reporting)
  • Create and manage capital budgets
  • Provide timely, consistent and meaningful measures of operational efficiency, financial performance and progress towards goals
  • Provide reports to senior leadership which explain results and aid in executive decision making
  • Provide and continuously enhance the usefulness and presentation of standard weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end financial packages
  • Report on and forecast cash flow, and provide analysis of working capital and capex
  • Support the VP in reporting to external parties such as Lenders
  • Fulfill ad hoc requests for analysis regarding specific questions

Supervision Received: 

  • Plans, designs, and carries out programs, projects, studies, or other work independentlyReceives coaching and supervision from Team leader

Supervisory Duties:

  • No supervisory responsibility

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Finance, Statistics, Business or Economics preferred 
  • Minimum three (3) years’ work experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Hands on experience building a long term integrated financial model of a company
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to think proactively and work in an open, team setting
  • Strong analysis, decision-making, organizational, planning and communication skills
  • Desire to work for an operating company and to work with people in all disciplines within the Company
  • Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities & Metrics:

  •              Strong Excel modeling experience.
  •              Experience with ERP software, SAP preferred
