CRM Marketing Manager

Recipe for Success: The CRM Marketing Manager is responsible primarily for the CRM marketing channel developing the email, direct-to-consumer social messaging, push and SMS marketing strategies as well as improving the operational process of email execution and deployment while driving direct orders and sales goals. The Manager will ensure accurate and timely reporting, and present findings to management. This position will work in close partnership with the Merchandise team, Creative, Operations, and Plant to ensure seamless experience to our customers.

  • Develop, maintain and own email, direct to consumer social messaging, mobile push and SMS marketing strategies
  • Manage operations of all email marketing
  • Make recommendations to management of strategies, roadmaps, and operating plans for the email channel as well as across channels 
  • Partner with business teams to develop marketing plans that support business objectives while protecting and growing the size and value of our customer list
  • Review competitive landscape and best practices, and make adjustments to plans and operational activities based upon identified information.
  • Create and execute email marketing campaigns:
    • Work with Marketing, Merchandising, & Creative departments to develop high performing campaigns
    • Segmenting of email file and customization of messaging
      Develop and launch ongoing ("triggered") lifecycle appropriate campaigns and report on email KPI’s
    • Make recommendations for changes and consistent testing strategies that will increase email effectiveness based on findings
  • Conduct rigorous quality assurance testing on emails prior to deployment:
    • Validate customer segmentation logic and audience counts
    • Ensure appropriate creative and offers are extended to each audience
    • Test for consistency of appearance across all major browsers and platform
    • Confirm all email links, dynamic content and personalized fields function properly
  • Work with technology partners to conceptualize, setup and test marketing promotions that are aligned to the strategy and goals of email (e.g., offers, product/category discounts/personalization, responsive design, etc.)
  • Partner with VP and others for additional responsibilities and projects to drive retention and loyalty across channels


Key ingredients 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of experience and instruction.
  • Proved understanding of ecommerce and the ability to translate merchandising efforts into meaningful email campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving revenue and profit goals.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices in behaviorally triggered email programs and integrated cross-channel marketing. 
  • Demonstrated successes in applying behavioral segmentation and personalization strategies.
  • 6+ years experience in e-Commerce marketing and promotion management with a strong focus on email/direct marketing
  • Experience in managing email program
    • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, articulating program goals, while trouble shooting problems and conflict resolution. 
    • Project-oriented, entrepreneurial, pro-active, creative and self-motivated work style.
    • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects amid changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while consistently delivering superior results within given deadlines.
    • Strong ability to identify business issues, formulate plans to resolve these issues, and effectively communicate the results to senior management.
    • Excellent written, presentation, creative, strategic thinking, analytical, and relationship management skills
    • Ability to build relationships and work cross functionally.
  • Keen editorial eye with regards to both email copy and design specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a strong customer focus
  • Innovative problem solver, intensely detail-oriented and results-focused.
  • Team player; enjoys working with diverse groups/individuals across divisions and functions.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with many concurrent campaigns.
  • Experience executing email marketing campaigns with a major email service provider is a plus.
  • Mobile commerce and mobile app experience a plus
