Senior Transportation Business Analyst

  • Lead department in analyzing and modeling current operations
  • Lead organization in connecting processes and systems to departmental financial performance
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational flow to the customer through data analytics and process reviews
  • Using Fresh Directs operating and business intelligence reporting platforms (e.g., SAP, Business Objects, MS Excel) to analyze production, labor and financial data
  • Participate in the development Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and lead process change reviews with Operations Senior Management
  • Lead management of labor standards, employee/asset performance reporting and overall productivity tracking.
  • Interfacing with Operations Managers, Finance, and Operations Planning to develop a portfolio of initiatives that supports the company service and growth objectives
  • Providing reporting support to Transportation and Logistics organization on an ad-hoc basis

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Five (5) years minimum experience in an analytical role
  • At least two (2) years’ experience as a Manager or Supervisor
  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or related experience
  • Prior management work experience in Operations, Logistics, Warehousing or Manufacturing
  • Experience in a work environment which extensively utilized MS Excel to model and track financial and/or operational performance
  • Proficient In MS Office Applications

  • Must possess strong analytical and operational skills with a strong business and financial acumen
  • Able to present numerical data in a concise, logical and useful manner
  • Budget development and oversight experience
  • Must be detail orientated with optimal organizational skills; with a focus on teamwork, project management and follow-up
  • Comfortable juggling and coordinating multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment
