POSITION: Human Resources Business Partner, Bilingual (Spanish)

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

REPORTS TO:  Human Resources Manager

 

Position Summary:

The HRBP will provide partnership and guidance to managers and individual contributors across a diverse group of business functions at our Plant in the NYC area. 

 

Recipe for Success- 

 

  • Works on problems of diverse scope, requiring the analysis and consideration of multiple factors
  • Manage multiple functions, including benefits administration, employee relations, and regulatory compliance, training, and performance management.
  • Uses skills as an experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways
  • Serves as a contact for employees in multiple business segments
  • Answers questions regarding policies and procedures and assists in resolving complex issues
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with all levels of personnel; act as a partner to hiring managers, providing coaching on interview best practices, and providing guidance through the hiring process
  • Partner with recruiter on talent acquisition related initiatives, and collaborate on improving current talent related processes

 

Key ingredients –
 

  • Education: BA/BS degree required
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in a Generalist role
  • Hours: Ability to work nights (3pm-10pm/11pm) and one day per month on a weekend.

  • Self-starter with a high sense of urgency, productive mindset and capability, and with the motivation to assume significant responsibilities as an HR business partner
  • Ability to influence positively across organizational levels; strong communications and problem solving skills
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment/labor laws and practices.
  • Experience with full employee life cycle
  • Constructively evaluates current practices and offers innovative approaches for improvement
  • Bilingual Spanish required
