POSITION SUMMARY:

 The slate is clean and the sky’s the limit. The perfect candidate is a hustler who strives to achieve both aggressive growth and meaningful relationship management: must love cultivating a robust list of leads and partnerships while also providing seamless, professional and friendly service on behalf of the brewery. While this role is primarily charged with securing and managing accounts, Fort Point Beer Company also encourages our small, agile team to develop new projects and innovations on behalf of a growing brewery within a $100 billion industry.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build, cultivate, and manage a comprehensive sales territory in a hybrid sales rep role (on-premise and off-premise accounts) 
  • Proactively manage portfolio of current accounts, expanding relationships and maximizing opportunities within existing client base
  • Achieve revenue and sales goals through new business opportunities and increased current account sales
  • Ensure account and customer satisfaction through friendly service and ongoing communication
  • Troubleshoot draft system maintenance for accounts as needed
  • Deliver beer on a one-off or 11th hour basis
  • Work closely with AR team to keep accounts current



KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application

  • Excellent leadership capabilities with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent sales background with solid understanding of company selling procedures
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Strong communication skills: verbal, listening and written
  • Capable of seeking out new ideas, exhibit initiative and be proactive
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong competitive intelligence within the marketplace


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Being able to lift, push and/or pull 35lbs. on a regular basis
  • Having the ability to push, pull and manipulate 165lbs
