Talent Acquisition Advisor (12 month contract) 

 Purpose of role

The successful candidate will work in a team environment to support Talent Acquisition priorities for entry level to senior level roles for Canada and US vacancies across Insurance Operations.  The Talent Acquisition Advisor formulates partnerships across the HR team and Business groups to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives and culture of our organization. 

 

Key responsibilities/accountabilities

  • In partnership with managers and human resources business partners, provide creative talent acquisition solutions to develop diverse talent pipelines and to ensure the continued attraction of talent across all Insurance Operations teams including Service Centre
  • Preparing job postings for internal and external sites
  • Sourcing & screening of resumes
  • Provide recruitment consulting and support to hiring managers
  • Conducting telephone and in-person interviews
  • Assist with testing/assessments during the selection process
  • Assist with performing relevant administrative requirements such as reporting, reference checks, preparing offer letters, etc.
  • Work with preferred vendors on select searches
  • Develop a solid understanding of the business needs and promote a close and proactive consultative relationship with business leaders and HR colleagues

 Key qualifications/competencies

 You have a passion for talent acquisition, are results oriented and strive for service excellence with accomplished experience in the following:

  • Undergraduate degree with a specialization in Human Resources and/or Business Management related courses
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional Talent Acquisition experience supporting high volume Contact Centres
  • Previous experience with Campus recruitment an asset
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, recruitment systems, HRMS, and Social Media
  • Knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, human resources, and applicable laws and legislation
  • Demonstrates effective relationship and stakeholder management skills in working collaboratively with HR colleagues and business leaders at all levels or organization to drive key Talent Acquisition and business priorities
  • Prior successful experience working in a fast-paced, agile, and team environment
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure effective and positive interactions with all candidates, team members, employees, business leaders and vendors
  • Exceptional organizational skills, demonstrated ability to prioritize and continuously improve process in a fast-paced environment
