Technical Lead (Java)

Join us as we secure the world with our products. We are seeking a strong and motivated Engineer Tech Lead to join our multicultural, creative, and fast-paced team in Eindhoven. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of back-end engineers in designing and developing new products and features that extend our current product portfolio, working on a new SaaS application. You will manage the work of your team ensuring timely delivery and will have the chance to grow in role and responsibilities as the project progresses.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and manage a team of 5 backend engineers
- Work with product owner and UI/UX in investigating and refining new features
- Conduct code reviews and make technical contributions to product architecture
- Reduce technical debt, resolve bugs and deliver feature improvements
- Hold regular 1:1's with your team members
- Be involved in the continuous improvement of team and development processes: a proactive approach is a key element for this role
- Help define career paths, mentor and support personal growth of team members
What You Offer Forescout:
- Experience Leading a team of Software Backend engineers, preferably combined with people management responsibilities
- Proven experience in Java back-end technologies, SQL, REST API, design patterns and microservice architecture
- Experience with cloud development
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like git/Jira/Bitbucket/GitHub and Jenkins
- You enjoy applying your experience by helping other team members
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Knowledge of Kotlin, Python, Bash, Linux is a plus
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, React and Javascript front-end technologies is a plus
- Knowledge of networking is a plus
