The Opportunity

The QA Lead performs essential QA (Quality Assurance) functions across Feeding America’s Salesforce systems.  They are responsible for testing features and enhancements on all Salesforce platforms (primarily NGOC, our central donor management Salesforce CRM and FARM, our foodbank and partner engagement Salesforce CRM) along with associated integrations.  The QA Lead manages and conducts the system, unit, and regression testing, develops test management tools, and oversees testing of integrations across all platforms under team management.  This will involve working with developers and project teams to construct & execute test plans, plan for functional, performance & regression testing, logging bugs, and providing visibility through project updates.

Salary Range: $66,000 to $85,000+ Based on Experience

  • Implement QA processes and best practices in all Salesforce testing areas.
  • Understand business, functional, and technical requirements to create test plans; create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Execute testing (functional and technical) for Salesforce applications / platforms; Record and report all testing results and identify steps to reproduce issues identified.
  • Work with vendor resources to establish testing processes and success criteria; Review and QA development work by external parties.
  • Lead and execute QA activities for Salesforce-related integrations (including middleware testing such as Informatica).
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
  • Execute and monitor recurring performance tests on new and existing integrations for the purposes of correcting mistakes, isolating areas for improvement, diagnostic analysis, and general debugging.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, systems developers, other engineers, business users, and vendors to address testing issues and defects.
  • Participates in Salesforce release process, including feature review and impact analysis, testing, support and documentation.
  • Trains, informs, and supports users regarding system functionality, enhancements, system configuration, and best practices.

Required Technical Competencies, Experience & Certifications
  • Three to five years of technical testing and QA experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience in all phases of the software and testing lifecycle, inception through deployment.
  • Strong functional testing background, including defining test strategy, test planning, test case design, and execution.
  • Extensive hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with SDLC, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Experience with Scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g. TestRail, HP ALM).
  • UI Test automation experience (e.g. Selenium, Protractor, Watir).
  • Experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Developer (working familiarity with Apex, NGOC, MySQL, SharePoint, Tableau a plus).
  • Familiarity with NGO Connect (NGOC).
  • Experience with Blackbaud/Convio Luminate Online/EveryAction.
  • Experience with Azure hosted environments.
  • Understanding of nonprofit organizations.
