Business Analyst

IT & Systems Porto, Portugal



We are looking for a Business Analyst that will work for the IT department and be responsible for the main activities related with the software implementation like Business and Functional Analyses, Configurations, Tests, Training and Support during and after go-live on a different range of corporate applications.


  • All kind of applications from the different Farfetch business areas like Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Purchase, etc.
  • Build own capability to perform business and functional analysis, configuration, test, train and support to the Farfetch systems as required
  • Specialise and become Farfetch Subject Matter Expert in a selected type of applications in the different functional and technical areas, as an example:
    • ERP
    • CRM
    • HRMS
    • Expenses Management System
    • Travel Management System

  • Work in partnership with Project Managers and SMEs to manage design, build, test and delivery of planned releases and system maintenance activities
  • Represent Teams and their users, as required, during the design and delivery of future projects that will require system configuration
  • Support with diagnosis and resolution of complex issues related to system specialism
  • Support and deputise for Project Manager as required
  • Drive continuous improvement within team and take initiative when good ideas need to be realised
  • Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to role, in line with the companies risk framework, in particular:
    • Timely identification and reporting of risks and issues so they are escalated and recorded appropriately
    • Ensure that Information Security and Data Protection risks are managed, with particular attention to protecting employee data
    • Ensure team complete necessary policy and learning standards training on time, remain familiar with practices and demonstrate awareness and competent use in role.
  • Perform Business and Functional Analysis in close relationship with Farfetch teams and needs
  • Perform system configuration according the deployment plan
  • Test the applications in the different phases of implementation, e.g., after deployment and configuration, before training and before go-live
  • Training the final users
  • Support the go-live and after go-live activities
  • Assigning security roles, handling security issues
  • Assisting with internal data audits
  • Maintaining integrations to other systems
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers on more complex issues
  • Testing and rollout of features and enhancements
  • Developing reports and dashboards for end users/SMEs


A professional with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience as an application specialist or implementation consultant with the following key competencies: 

  • Awareness of different generic business process (Finance, HR, Commercial, Purchase, Sales, etc.)
  • Excellent organisation and communications skills

  • Aptitude for understanding & diagnosis of business processes
