The role

Manage the development and delivery of Tech Internal Comms, aligned and consistently supporting the employer brand and overall internal communication strategy to assure effective and open internal communications within the tech teams, promoting visibility to the wider business of the activity and achievements of the tech roadmap, and contributing to the engagement of teams, while fostering a strong sense of belonging & brand advocacy amongst Farfetchers.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support the Global Head of Employer Brand & People Comms to ensure that the People Promise and our Values are fully leveraged throughout the employee experience & all communications are aligned with the overall Employer Brand & Communications strategy
  • Work closely in a business partnering model with the tech teams in several offices and regions, to develop engaging internal storytelling, increasing the awareness and celebration of internal important achievements, contributing to the teams’ proudness;
  • Be responsible for the F-Tech internal group / community building close day-to-day relationships with the wider Tech & Product team, to facilitate the best internal communication approach within projects and teams, ensuring clear and open communications, and contributing to full adoption of Farfetch vision.
  • Manage the approach to tech comms, including use of appropriate channels (online & offline), in order to deliver an improved & consistent employee experience aligned with the employer brand and people comms strategy
  • Ensure that all communications are fully aligned with the People Promise messaging;
  • Work closely with the rest of the team (namely employer brand) to ensure seamless integration & planning of content to Farfetchers, including a consistent tone of voice;
  • Ghost write to key tech stakeholders to promote role modelling and their roles as key ambassadors of within our tech community
  • Manage the tech communities and use those initiatives to promote internal engagement and external awareness always aligned with the external comms strategy
  • Explore and exploit all internal communication opportunities, driving innovation on how we engage with the rest of the organization
  • You will liaise with the key members of the team and the tech leadership to be updated on key happenings, frequently working as part of the team
  • Contribute to design and organize teams’ offsites to assure the best messaging approach

 

Who you are:

  • Educated to degree level, ideally in Marketing or Communications;
  • At least 8 years of experience in internal communications or brand engagement role, with very strong content writing skills;
  • Experience working within technology environments;
  • Experience of rolling out internal communication initiatives globally, with an ability to navigate a global, matrix organisation;
  • Skilled at developing and delivering creative, strategic solutions for initiatives that need engagement throughout different channels and targets;
  • Highly influential, super relational and skilled at finding the ‘win:win’ scenarios
  • A native English speaker, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Engaging and creative communication style, adaptable to different audiences and channels
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A media / digital enthusiast with a demonstrable interest in social media, mobile technologies and emerging communication technologies and channels
  • Strong relationship management skills with experience of dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders
