About the role:

The role will be responsible for cultivating and developing relationships with the most valuable clients of Farfetch through the Farfetch Private Client program to be able to meet and exceed individual sales and other commercial targets. The focus will be on working with a portfolio of 100-150 top clients and high-value prospects with an average annual spend of $10k and above through a variety of customer engagement and selling activities, both online and offline.

The ideal profile is someone with strong networking and client development skills, a solid business acumen, a deep knowledge of fashion and the Farfetch brand, and a strong ambition to achieve targets. The candidate must have considerable experience working with high profile clients (minimum 5 years), be capable of developing strategies and actions to enable the achievement of annual sales targets, and a proven track record of excellent teamwork and customer service skills. Ideally, the candidate would have past exposure to the world of luxury personal shopping or VIP sales.


What you'll do:

  • Develop the Farfetch Private Client base – nurturing existing clients and reactivating lapsed clients – within your assigned geographic region
  • Develop direct personal relationships with new high-value prospects to introduce them to the Farfetch Private Client service
  • Maintain a personal client portfolio of 100-150 high-value clients (aiming for an average annual spend of $10k+ per client) to enable achievement of personal sales targets and related KPI’s
  • Create and send personalized communications to your clients to inform them of new products, designers and other Farfetch news that is relevant to their interests
  • Organize and host client enagagement activities (e.g. meals, events, styling appointments, shopping experiences, etc.) within your assigned geographic region
  • Work closely with Director, Farfetch Private Client on individual monthly, quarterly and annual sales planning activities, tracking results against expectations on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Regularly monitor individual client engagement and travel budgets, ensuring an effective impact is achieved through all sales-related activities within the appropriate spend level
  • Support the Customer Service team to resolve customer issues when necessary
  • Work closely with the global Merchandising team to ensure maximum knowledge of forthcoming stock availability for customer benefit
  • Attend brand events as required to aid in the development of the business and act as a Farfetch brand ambassador

Who you are: 

  • Proven experience developing a network of clients and contacts in a relevant industry (fashion, luxury or ecommerce preferred) and function (personal shopping or sales)
  • Commercially aware with proven history of achieving or exceeding objectives 
  • Excellent communication skills, specifically with regard to building relationships with customers
  • Experience within or strong working knowledge of e-commerce retail
  • Strong business development mindset
  • Proven ability to work within strict deadlines
  • Able and willing to travel when necessary
  • Strong identification with Farfetch core values
