Portfolio Management Specialist

The Role:

As a Portfolio Manager, you will join the Platform Operations team which aims to support Platform Operations and Farfetch’s Operations leadership in their strategic planning efforts and contribute to the development and delivery of high impact project for online and offline approaches. You will be collaborating with all areas of the team, playing a key role in driving portfolio management methodology and implementation across the operations teams, making sure we deliver a world-class service for Platform Operations

This role may require frequent interaction with international teams remotely and minimum travel.

What you’ll do:

  • Be part of exciting high impact projects planning for Platform Operations;
  • Contribute to the setup of the portfolio management approach, periodically establish the baselines for the initiative;
  • Develop prioritization model, set portfolio  priorities based on business/ technology needs;
  • Analyze portfolio, assess the value and the risk of each program and produce a prioritized list of projects. Assess the impact of unplanned work;
  • Generate reports to communicate portfolio to executives, teams and project managers;
  • Lead Portfolio Reviews, ensure project timing and identify cross portfolio  & project dependencies;
  • Connect and influence very diverse stakeholders, from Farfetch’s Operations senior leadership to the people making it happen at ground level;
  • Ingest and analyze vast amounts of data to scope new projects and programs;
  • Collaborate with the Discovery team to build business cases and measure the return on investment of your projects;
  • Ensure proactive and transparent communication throughout Operations.

Who you are:

  • A professional with a minimum of 3 years experience;
  • Degree/Masters educated, preferably in the fields of Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Business Management or similar;
  • Experienced in consulting projects in the fields of Operations, Supply Chain and/or E-commerce;
  • Experienced and passionate for Strategy, Operations, and Technology;
  • Skilled in problem solving, analytics, and project management;
  • Able to communicate at multiple levels in the organization;
  • An individual with good interpersonal skills;
  • Self-confident, with ability to challenge with a smile;
  • Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment;
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral;
