Group Financial Reporting Manager

The role:

The Group Reporting Manager will report to the Senior Financial Reporting Manager and work closely alongside the Financial Reporting Manager. This is a new role in a growing team. You will support the Group’s financial reporting requirements including preparing of the quarterly and year-end reports, drafting analyst/ investor presentation slides and preparation of certain Group KPIs.

The Group Reporting Manager will also assist on various ad-hoc projects ranging from impact analysis of new accounting requirements to assisting with any new and on-going reporting requirements for M&A transactions/deals. You will need to be detail orientated, thrive under the pressures of project-based work and enjoy taking job ownership.

What you’ll do:

  • You will help to coordinate and prepare the Group’s IFRS financial statements, quarterly reports and the annual report (Farfetch is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and hence an understanding of the US reporting requirements is essential)
  • Extract and prepare the monthly KPIs for the Group, ensuring accuracy and completeness with underlying general ledger and operational systems
  • You will prepare reports for the Group’s KPIs using both Excel and PowerPoint
  • You will support a range of different and varied projects across the business on an ad-hoc basis ranging impacts of new accounting standards, assisting with goodwill impairment reviews and on-going reporting requirements for our joint ventures
  • You will also help support the Senior Financial Reporting Manager on share-based compensation accounting working closely with the legal and people teams
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, working closely with the Financial Reporting Manager, and other external reporting requirements

Who you are:

  • You have a Chartered Accountancy qualification (or equivalent)
  • You ideally have experience from practice or industry of working on or in PCAOB and SEC-registered businesses
  • You have worked in a large US-listed company and have a solid understanding of SEC reporting requirements
  • You have group reporting experience either from practice or industry
  • You have experience working with large data sets/ databases and solid excel skills
  • You have experience in financial reporting (IFRS) and preparation/ review of consolidated financial statements and ideally, have experience of reviewing or preparing annual reports for US-listed companies
  • You have experience in share-based payment accounting
  • You have the ability to demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm and a proactive attitude
  • You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high growth environment. Experience of similar working environments would be ideal
