Senior Manager/Associate Director, FL HCP and Diagnostic Marketing

In addition to an active research and discovery pipeline, Epizyme received U.S. FDA approval for the product, TAZVERIK™ (tazemetostat), for the treatment of patients aged 16 years and older with metastatic or locally advanced epithelioid sarcoma who are not eligible for complete resection. This indication was approved under accelerated approval based on overall response rate and duration of response. TAZVERIK™ also recently received accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for two distinct follicular lymphoma (FL) indications: 1) adult patients with relapsed or refractory FL whose tumors are positive for an EZH2 mutation as detected by an FDA-approved test and who have received at least two prior systemic therapies, and 2) adult patients with relapsed or refractory FL who have no satisfactory alternative treatment options.  

 

Continued approval for these indications is contingent upon verification and description of clinical benefit in ongoing confirmatory trials. The company is also exploring the treatment potential of tazemetostat in investigational clinical trials in other solid tumors and hematological malignancies, as a monotherapy and combination therapy in both relapsed and front-line disease settings. Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing, the Senior Manager/Associate Director of Diagnostic and FL HCP Pull Through Marketing is a key member of the team who will contribute to the future of Epizyme’s Commercial organization. S/he will be responsible for the execution of diagnostic partnership(s) and communication, pull through of FL HCP channel communication strategy, development of key performance indicators, effective measurement, and effective communication of performance. Additional responsibilities include participation in the media planning process, technical coordination with internal cross-functional partners, and agency management. This position requires a passion for providing solutions to patients and HCPs, an entrepreneurial mindset and effective collaboration with Sales, Business Insights and Analytics, Corporate Affairs, Advocacy, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Legal and Regulatory.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end service marketing of the diagnostic partnership, inclusive of mapping the patient and HCP touchpoints, creating the call center experience, and optimizing the communications
  • Explore and assess innovative and traditional approaches to meet future diagnostic needs of patients and customers
  • Marketing lead on diagnostic partnership joint steering committee(s)
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure field team success in delivery of diagnostic resources consistent with brand strategy
  • Pull through FL HCP strategy by effectively creating derivative materials to meet audience objectives
  • Optimize brand communication to this audience across channels (omnichannel)
  • Deliver marketing tactics and materials for the patient/caregiver audience that effectively support strategy across both ES and FL indications
  • Support the strategy, planning and development of diagnostic imperatives for the brand
  • Deliver solutions for critical business opportunities within FL HCP audience segments through work with FL HCP Marketing lead
  • Develop key performance indicators for marketing initiatives and work with Business Insights and Analytics to measure and report results
  • Determine technology opportunities with Commercial IT
  • Support relevant initiatives at major US medical conferences
  • Provide support for annual brand plan, lead annual diagnostic and FL HCP omnichannel tactical planning
  • Effectively collaborate with advertising agency of record and other agency/vendor partners
  • Ensure compliance in all activities through proficiency with internal processes related to marketing, including Legal/Medical/Regulatory review, vendor and budget management
  • Flexible work style that fits with a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial environment
  • Able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and managing key project details

Education & Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 4+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience with a minimum of 2 years of in-line Marketing experience at a commercial biotech or pharmaceutical company
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Biotech/pharmaceutical Sales experience preferred
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Diagnostic experience a plus, particularly in the oncology setting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and oral), strong PowerPoint skills
  • Detail oriented, ability to understand relevant parts of technical systems and networks
  • Willingness to travel ~20% domestically
