Reporting to the VP, Director of Connections Planning, the is an important component of any cross-channel campaign or initiative, helping to define channels that best serve the target audience, the brand and the idea. A Connections Planner must be able to think and act strategically, stay on the pulse of competitive and market activities as well as industry trends. With focus on supporting and growing digital and social clients, collaboration across functions within EP+Co to bring cutting edge digital ideas, develop integrated programs, and ultimately help our clients deliver better outcomes by improving awareness, consideration and sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire internal and client teams with how media channels can be used creatively to bring ideas to life. Ensure that the teams have a sophisticated understanding of channels
  • Lead the channel planning process, working with creative, account and brand planning teammates to develop an integrated marketing plan that supports the creative idea and delivers on client expectations
  • Develop plans to engage and re-engage targets toward a business goal, using a variety of channels and tactics
  • Work with brand planners to ensure understanding of brand objectives, research, and creative platform so you can create inspiring digital and social creative briefs that work across communications channels
  • Produce cohesive strategies that bring success to campaigns, including channel roles, best practices, consumer journeys and execution guidelines
  • Develop strong insights based on deep understanding of media tactics, channels opportunities and consumer behaviors
  • Champion the on-going cross-agency integrated planning process
  • Support media planners, creative and all marketing disciplines in understanding what it takes to connect with people
  • Represent expertise in all digital channels and working familiarity with all marketing disciplines

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of integrated media or channel planning experience. Strong social and digital media experience is a plus.
  • A proven track record of implementing holistic communications planning strategies across channels that brings the big idea to life
  • Experience with the integration of digital platforms with creative, media, PR and in store disciplines toward a singular strategic communications approach.
  • Track record of successful and productive relationship management with agency partners
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of the dynamics of channels. How each media element performs alone, how they perform together and how they are constantly changing
  • A passion for culture, trends and motivations in consumer behavior which inform and impact channel strategies
  • Digitally and socially sophisticated, and embraces video centric thinking in media. Able to operate w/ ease across channels
  • Kindness, self-motivation, entrepreneurship, and innovative thinking are important personal characteristics that will make a difference
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
